FAQs
How do we secure a date?
A non-refundable deposit at 10% of the overall price (serves as consent to prior planning/locations reconnaissance, and securing wedding date).
How far in advance do we need to book?
To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking at least 3 months in advance. Bookings made closer to your date are possible, but our availability is likely to be reduced.
How many team will be there on the day?
Between 2 and 4 depending on the complexity of your day.
IS drone footage included?
Yes, depending on your date and location geo-restrictions. We have flown near military bases before with permission.
Do you travel? does this incur additional expense?
We are based in Dorset, UK, we love to travel, and have captured weddings abroad! We will come as far as the east is from the west, and this may incur additional expense - we'll chat through these with you.
Can we receive raw footage?
Unfortunately, access to RAW footage cannot be provided. This is because we shoot in codecs which are not easily viewable without professional editing software, and the file sizes are too large to transfer.
when will the completed film / photos be delivered?
We aim to complete within 12 weeks from commencement of 2 days after filming. There may be instances when this can be delayed, but don't worry, we will keep you updated!
Can we choose the music for our wedding Film?
We hold a subscription to an extensive SoundStripe library, which is professionally created and curated for films. This music also overcomes licensing limitations which hosting platforms like YouTube flag for copyright. In our client meeting with you we will discuss the feel for your day and wedding film.
how do you work with us to craft what we would like?
We meet with you, either in person or on Zoom, to discuss your day with a set of questions we always ask couples, and a chance for you to ask us anything further. We also send a 'final details form' for you to complete ahead of your day, to let us know everything we need to be able to prepare best.
Advice for Your Day
1. Environment matters. We get it; you can't escape the wedding industry now when getting married. We've captured weddings across the full budget spectrum, and we know a luxury villa isn't everyone's priority. With that out the way, as much as possible, try to choose venues with lots of natural light, free from clutter - especially Bridal and Grooms' parties getting ready in the morning. This helps with composition and exposure to create the best possible images on your day.
2. Think about a location for your dress shot - this really helps us when we arrive to the Bridal venue in the morning. You'll see some examples in our Wedding Showreel.
3. Choose a photographer and videographer you can trust. We love detail and we know it adds to the atmosphere of the day. Just make sure you don't compromise on remembering the day in detail by capturing it through uncle Ray's camcorder or the sixth-form student starting out with their first DSLR. We fully encourage, equip and empower future film & photo aspirants, but on your sacred day, we've helped enough brides calm nerves and best-men remember rings to say you can book us confidently as professionals.
4. Plan ahead. Communicate any specifics for the day with your vendors in advance. Uncommunicated expectations can mean unmet expectations. Fortunately we've not encountered this, but prevention is the best cure.
If capturing audio is a priority to you, for example, we record audio throughout the day through a variety of means; if you want the native audio recorded and transferred to us, please check in with your venues whether this is possible, and we'll take it from there.
5. Embrace the day with joy. Don't lose sight of what this is - two becoming one in divine covenant. Even if the itinerary becomes as loose as uncle Ray's dance moves, it will be the most beautiful day if you remember its purpose.
